PSG: "Nobody wants to face us," smiles Vitinha

Vitinha is doing well, thank you for him. And PSG too, by the way. Undefeated leaders in Ligue 1, they also have a date with Liverpool in the round of 16 of the Champions League . "The strength of this team is the collective. We have already had a lot of stars but we have not managed to win the Champions League. With this way, we think we can go far, that we can go all the way. We will try, like last year, as a team" , notes the Portuguese, on France 3 , assuring that, stars or not, PSG is scary. "Of course. Even before in fact, when we did not have the results we wanted in C1, I have no doubt that no one wants to face PSG" , he swears.

Not sure, in fact, that the Reds imagined coming up against an opponent of this caliber after finishing top of the first round standings ... Which Reds will nevertheless attack the double-header as favorites. But they are warned: Paris is a "real team" . And that is not to displease the former Porto player: "I like having a team like that, a real team. For me, I feel the word team, it's when we all think the same thing. At the moment, that's what we're doing on the pitch, the 11 players are well coordinated, you see it in the movements, the efforts, the dynamics, the mobility. When it's like that, things go well, the results are there. I'm a fan of this project."

One thing is certain: Vitinha is one of the strong links of this Paris-SG 2024-25 vintage. Luis Enrique recently described him as the "perfect midfielder" for his team's game. "It's incredible that he says that about me, it means that I'm doing things well, we have to continue, but it's good to hear that from your coach," smiles the 25-year-old Portuguese international (25 caps). And he adds, about his Spanish coach: "He brings a lot on a human level, he speaks to you like a friend, in a natural way, he makes you feel calm, he says what he thinks even if you don't like it. I like working with him." That's good, "Viti" has renewed until 2029 and "Lucho" until 2027. "I love the city, it's like my home. How can you not fall in love with this incredible city? he wonders. It is up to him and his teammates to charm Europe.
